I am returning it. As a beginner that has been dabbling with Filemaker since 12, but have been digging as deeply as possible over the last year I have to say that this is a great shot sheet of quick, well-thought insights from an industry expert in a very easy to read manner.
I have read a lot of FileMaker manuals and "How To" books. What makes this book different is information on the proper way to use FileMaker. This book puts Filemaker features in a context. There is information on proper design. If you want to shorten the learning curve to a successful application this is the book you should buy.
Brought to light concepts and strategies to use during the construction of the relational database. Very useful, worth the price.
Well written. Easy to understand and a fast read. I'm new to the FileMaker platform, and have already learned so much by going through Richard Carlton's video training series. I decided to pick up a hard copy of this book because it seemed to match where I was at from an experience-level standpoint. The book is a nice of blend of technical concepts, e.

I bought this book figuring the title was an accurate discription of the contents. A well done book. Easy to follow and use. Arrived on time. Good information for beginners and good review for intermediate. Good, clear text, easy to understand.

Looking for anything in particular isn't as straightforward as hoped. And it doesn't help when oils as listed only by specification, without SAE reference.
